Das neue Auto

Vor der Garage steht das neue Auto. Daneben steht der Vater und guckt es an.

Nicole kommt auf ihrem Fahrrad angesaust.

"Vorsicht!", ruft der Vater.

"Ist das unser neues Auto?", fragt Nicole.

Der Vater nickt. "Sieht toll aus, was? Diese Form! Und das kräftige Rot!" Er streicht mit der Hand sachte über das Blech. Dann schließt er den Kofferraum auf. "Da ist Platz drin, was? Da passt doppelt so viel rein wie in den Alten." Er klappt den Deckel wieder zu. "Und die Innenausstattung! Du musst dich mal reinsetzen - aber sei vorsichtig!"

Der Vater setzt sich hinter das Lenkrad, Nicole setzt sich daneben. "Das sind Sitze, was? Und hier, die Instrumente!" Er deutet mit einer Handbewegung auf das Armaturenbrett. "Drehzahlmesser, alles da! Toll, was?"

Nicole hört und sieht sich alles an. Dann fragt sie: "Fährt es auch?"

Father nods. "This is it. Looks cool, doesn't it? Stlyish. And the nice red color...". He starts gently fondling the metal. Then he opens the trunk. "Spacious, ain't it? Much bigger than the old one." He closes the hatch. "And the interieur ... try it out! - But cautiously, please."

Father is getting behind the wheel, Nicole climbs into the front seat. "Aren't these luxurious? And look, what a cool instrument panel, including a rev meter ..., super, yes?" He is - with great gesture - indicating the scales.

Nicole is listening and beholding everything. Then she asks: "And does it drive, too?"
